St. Pius X continues to support the Indiana Women’s Prison (IWP) by providing a Christmas meal to the ladies. This year we will be distributing 600 meals. We are reaching out to the parish to help us by purchasing and boiling eggs as part of IWP meal. We need 100 dozen eggs. They need to be delivered to the church refrigerators near the conference room by 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, 12-15-2021.
If you are able to help, please text Marion McDermott at 1-317-919-3235 with your name and the number of dozen eggs that you can donate. Your help is greatly appreciated. As of this writing, we only have a total of twenty-five dozen eggs that folks have committed to donating.
We are also able to take 8 folks with us to the IWP for distribution of the meals on Thursday, 12-16-2021. In order to go, you must be fully vaccinated including your booster shots. Four of the eight slots are filled. If you would like to finish packing at the prison and distributing the meals, please text Marion at the above number.
