Leader in Me
The Leader in Me is a whole-school transformation model developed in partnership with educators that empowers students with the skills they need to thrive in the 21st century. Leadership is taught directly to students, but moe importantly is integrated seamlessly with their Catholic faith and everyday lessons. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Students is a powerful framework used in the leadership movement.
As part of our Leader in Me process, the SPX Lighthouse Teams put together different Kaizens that SPX will use throughout the year. Kaizen - Japanese for "improvement" or "changes for the best," refers to philosopy or practices that focus upon continuous improvement of process. It is pronounced KI-ZEN. The SPX Lighthouse Teams have chosen this word to be the name of our school-wide leadership groups.
