From SPX Staff:

I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to teach at St. Pius X for 35 years. St. Pius is where I felt called to be. We have such wonderful families and a supportive staff. I've been lucky enough to teach the 2nd generation of quite a few students. Because so many families stay in the parish after the children have graduated, I'm also lucky to hear of all the wonderful things our graduates are doing; missionary work in many countries, priest and religious life, entertainment, athletics, teachers, doctors, nurses, lawyers, architects, armed services, etc. It's great to know, with God's help and all of us working together, our students are doing great things!
– Alice Mattingly 3rd Grade Teacher

Why have I stayed at St Pius for a thousand years? ☺ The environment at St Pius is a fantastic one! The parent involvement is over the top! If you need help there will always be someone who is willing to step in and lend a hand. The school community also is very supportive of the teachers and other parents if there ever is a personal crisis. It is amazing to see the support that has been showered out to numerous families over the years. I have had the privileged to go to many ISTE conferences to help me grow as a teacher. That opportunity has been a wonderful one for me personally. I am truly thankful for that opportunity to grow professionally. I really have enjoyed working with the staff at St Pius. They too are there when you need it. If you need help in the classroom, need a fresh idea or just need a smile they are there for you. I have seen St Pius grow, change and continue to be a great place to work. The miles I travel seem small to the rewards I have gained by being a teacher at St. Pius!
– Jeanie Warrick, 1st Grade Teacher

From Parents:

My oldest child just graduated from St. Pius X and is now excelling in high school. My other two children love St. Pius. They are challenged academically, strengthened spiritually, and enhanced socially and through the extracurricular activities offered. The St. Pius school community is like family. As a parent, what I love the most is that SPX is helping your child grow into a well-rounded person who uses their leadership skills, academic strengths, and work ethic to serve others and to accomplish their own goals.
– Eileen Countryman

St. Pius X has a strong resource program. My daughter has a learning disability. The resource team is committed to working with my daughter on the same pace as her classmates. She comes home and tells me she feels better about her school work and is proud of her grades. One of her resource teachers has even gone over and beyond to help make sure she’s organized at the end of the day. This extra effort is not required, it just happens. I always feel like my daughter’s needs are important to St. Pius X. And that is a huge piece of mind. I know she’s being set up for success in high school.
– Kate McGowan

"Our family visited both St. Pius X and our local public school before choosing to send our kids to St. Pius. We were fortunate that we had two great schools to choose from, but ultimately decided on St. Pius because of the sense of community that we immediately felt when we walked into the building and began interacting with teachers, administrators, students, and parents. We know that whether it’s in the classroom or on the field, our kids are being taught, mentored, and supported by others who care for our kids as much as we do."
– Dave and Maggie Stevens

We cannot imagine any other school in the Indianapolis area for our two children, Connor (8 years old, 3rd grade) and Erin (5 years old, Kindergarten). St. Pius X Catholic School is a warm, tightly-knit school community where we know are children are taken care of. The staff, administration and parent volunteers all work together to provide an atmosphere perfect for learning and growth. A few of our favorite things include the Leader In Me Process, singing “All You Works of God” as a school/church family at Wednesday morning mass, All Saints Day in first grade, the third grade play, First Communion and the hard work from Mrs. Austin and Mrs. Stocker in second grade and Mother’s Mass for our special eighth grade Moms. Our school is rich in tradition and one of the most important traditions is the success of our students upon graduation. Our staff and teachers do a wonderful job instilling the skills needed to succeed beyond 8th grade and in life. We can’t say enough good things about all that St. Pius has to offer our children and more importantly, our entire family.
– The Murphy Family (Pat, Deanna, Connor and Erin)

From Alumni:

St. Pius X School has always been a part of my life (quite literally growing up across the street) and the lasting memories and experiences of a Catholic education have and continue to impact my life. I graduated from St. Pius X twelve years ago but it has not left me. The foundation of Catholic education from St .Pius and the sense of community followed me as I attended Bishop Chatard high school and later choose to also attend a Catholic college, Marian University. I majored in Pastoral Leadership, graduated and took a job in a Catholic school as a youth minister. Now as I raise my own children, even though I live in another part of town, my son attends a Catholic school as well. I am excited for him to make lifelong friends, play CYO sports, and most importantly grow in his faith. All of these life decisions were set in motion with my parent’s passion for sending me to an outstanding Catholic School as a child, St. Pius X.
– Katie Lubs (Rudolph) Class of 2004

At St Pius X, I made friends that I will keep forever. I learned how to form a relationship with your teachers by coming to them for help and questions. This has helped me become a better student in high school and in my college studies. I will always treasure the school masses and singing songs like “All You Works of God” and hand motions and more shouting than actual singing. This experience taught me that it is fun to be proud of your faith and participate in mass. St. Pius X has helped shape me into the person I am today and I am grateful that I was able to spend 9 years there.
– Emily Jorgenson, Class of 2012

Whether you attend St. Pius X for a few years or all nine like I did, the values stay with you even after you leave. From Kindergarten through 8th grade, I learned everything I needed in order to succeed in high school and beyond. I felt well prepared, but I was also able to build a strong relationship with God. At St. Pius you always get the help you need and you feel important in a loving environment. I greatly enjoyed my years at SPX and think it is a blessing to be able to attend such an amazing and faith-filled school.

I enjoy sharing my passion for art, creative drama, storytelling and movement with the St. Pius student body because they are eager to learn new things, and use their imaginations in myriad ways.

I have a Masters Degree in Education and spent a decade as a professional performer on cruise ships and resorts all over the United States. I have also taught for two years in Bogota, Columbia  and moved to Indianapolis from Charleston SC where I taught in  fine arts programs for 15 years. I look forward to tapping into and encouraging the creative potential and Godly spirits of all the children at St. Pius X.

At SPX, we have collected pop tabs to help support The Ronald McDonald House in Indianapolis for 13 years now. Currently, we have collected over 8 million pop tabs to help this amazing facility provide housing, meals, and comfort for families of sick children at Riley. Your task is an easy one! Please collect pop tabs from any can that you use and turn them into your child's teacher. At the end of every quarter, our PTO provides a pizza lunch for the classroom that has collected the most pop tabs within that quarter. Please help SPX with this wonderful opportunity to serve others.

Welcome to St. Pius X School

Beaudette Keely 26 Website

I am honored to be the principal of St. Pius X Catholic School! I have a long history in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, attending both St. Pius X and Bishop Chatard High School. I value both our Catholic faith and Catholic education.

At St. Pius X, family is an integral part of who we are – when students enter the school building, they instantly become a part of the SPX Family – learning, leading, and growing together. Strong academics is a top priority at St. Pius X, students are placed into an academic setting that not only meets them where they are at, but also pushes them to do their personal best, taking them to the next level.

Extra-curricular activities help students find other passions and strength. At St. Pius X, students are involved in athletics, music, theater, and the arts.

Our school is full of rich traditions that are celebrated together every year. Whether it is our weekly school mass, sacraments, special field trips, or yearly milestones, tradition is important and valued here.

I am excited to lead St. Pius X in a direction where all individuals feel valued and appreciated when walking into the building. I hope to instill faith, a love of learning, leadership, and values in all students and adults alike.

Yours in Christ,
Keely Beaudette
